For the second time in two weeks, the Kennebunk area has been hard hit with drenching rains and blowing winds. We were quite pleased to find a very neat drainage system in our basement -- grooves carved into the granite, leading to some mysterious underground pipes that seem to carry away the water. That kept the basement dry ... however water found its way in the around one of the chimneys, which then leaked down on the dining room wall! Ugh.
